On October 12, 2024, the Lord and Master of the Harvest blessed the SSP Philippines-Macau Province with three perpetually professed members. Clerics Vinz Anthony Francesco Aurellano, Ronel Louis Marie Delos Reyes, and Ronel Anthony Soriano pronounced their perpetual vows during the 9 A.M. Eucharistic celebration presided over by Provincial Superior Fr. Mario Sobrejuanite. Concelebrating with him at the Sanctuary of St. Paul in Makati City were numerous Pauline priests and priest-friends of the candidates. Family members, representatives of the Pauline Family, friends, and benefactors of SSP were also present. Fr. Brian Tayag served as the Master of Ceremonies, with aspirants from St. Paul Seminary in Silang, Cavite as altar servers. The choir, Los Cantantes de Manila, fresh from winning a competition in Italy, provided the music. Fr. Carlo Rey Canto OP led the Litany of Saints.
In his homily, Fr. Sobrejuanite addressed the crisis religious life faces today, citing the lack of vocations and perseverance, as many lose their “first love” and their zeal for the mission and charism of their institute. He emphasized what is fundamental in being a perpetually professed member of the Society of St. Paul.
Before the final blessing, Fr. Khris Emmanuel Llacer read a message from Superior General Fr. Domenico Soliman, who remarked, “Today you pronounce your definitive ‘yes’ to the Divine Master. He sends you, as the Apostle Paul was sent, to do good wherever He calls you, through the charism of Blessed James Alberione. May your heart, therefore, always be expansive, embracing all humanity.”
Cleric De los Reyes then delivered his words of thanks, followed by a joyful fellowship at Alberione Hall.
